CAMACC Crusaders Take on Type 1 Diabetes
CAMACC loves community and that means giving back. Over the years the CAMACC Crusaders have acted on many community needs including fundraising for cancer research, helping families with MS, and so far in 2015, raising money to find a cure for type 1 diabetes.
Telus partnered with the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF) to host over 70 events across Canada where individuals with and without type 1 diabetes can connect, walk, and raise money for curing, treating, and preventing type 1 diabetes.
On June 14th the CAMACC Crusaders attended the TELUS Walk to Cure Diabetes in Victoria with CAMACC style. From face painting to colouring to getting carried away by balloons, the Crusaders spread the CAMACC spirit and helped JDRF make a difference for those affected by type 1 diabetes.
Congratulations to Telus, JDRF, and all other participants for raising $112,000 at the 2015 Victoria Walk and getting that much closer to finding a cure for type 1 diabetes!
