President and Chief Executive Officer
Dennis Co-Founded CAMACC with two of his original employees and one of his highschool buddies. He has extensive experience in all aspects of the Video Security Market from business to technology. He started a Video Security division for his fathers company back in the early 1990’s and this laid the foundation that grew the CAMACC business model.

Owner and Account Manager
Fleet-footed family man Steve is one of the company’s owners, and has been with CAMACC Systems from Day One. Until two years ago, Steve looked after local sales in the head office region, and served as the national service and installation manager. Now he focuses his attention on some of CAMACC’s larger accounts, including London Drugs, Overwaitea Foods Group, Thrifty Foods, BC Housing, Chevron Canada, and others (although he still looks after local sales in the head office region!).
A specialist in access control and analytics camera design, Steve’s prior education and early work experiences firmly brand him as a west coast man, having attended Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s business and electronic engineering program, and worked at Fujitsu/Data Checker as a field technician.
Outside of the office, Steve is an active golfer, camper and runner – working out three or four times a week, rain or shine. Steve’s real passion, though, is his family. He has SIX beautiful children: Alexandra, Troy, Zoe, Anjelina, Quyannah and Portia.

National Sales Manager
In a world where sales guys are a dime a dozen, Kevin is a like a million dollar block of sales bullion. That’s not just because of his spectacular sales track record, or his many years of successful experience in the industry, but because the guy is Old School Sales, where good salespeople work hard at building real relationships with customers. It’s all about the relationship.
In nearly three decades of industry experience working with the likes of Panasonic, Samsung, and Sony, Kevin has racked up innumerable accolades, often beginning with “First salesperson to…” and ending with proof that his relationship talents are only rivaled by his innovation and willingness to embrace new technology to solve problems. As the President of Panasonic Canada says about Kevin, “His greatest talent is in developing innovations for new products and new markets.” Not bad press for a sales guy!
At CAMACC Kevin looks after national sales from the Oakville, Ontario, office, but is often on the road to meet with prospective customers to first learn what problems they face, and then to help design site-specific solutions to those problems. Those customers come from a broad range of sectors, including grocery, petroleum, retail and education – Kevin builds relationships with them all.

Chief Financial Officer
Everybody loves Dan, and not just because one of his many responsibilities in the finance department is staff payroll. We also love him for his big smile, big laugh, and big talent to keep the wheels always moving fast on the finance machine.
Dan began his career with CAMACC six years ago, at the time looking after accounts receivable for a CAMACC subsidiary. Since then his role has grown as significantly as it has swiftly; he now manages all finance functions and oversees the finance team, producing accounts and maintenance of financial ledgers and accounting processes, maintaining the ERP accounting system (SAP B1), preparing budgets, forecasts and cash flows, and much more. Yes, like payroll.
Prior to obtaining his Professional Accounting Diploma from Camosun College, Dan earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Environmental Science at the University of Victoria. Sometime in between he taught English in Japan for five years. Before his secondary education, Dan was a top visual artist. That’s another reason why everyone loves Dan: the lack of a predictable, straight-line career pathway has led to a very interesting character for us to work with.

Entering the industry in 2003 Hartley has become a specialist in access control, CCTV and analytics camera design. His electrical certifications and many years of field experience in Petroleum, Drug Store, Casino, and Grocery industries moved him into the roles of dispatch and then management.

It’s impossible to miss the sunny smile that accompanies Jen, whether in the CAMACC boardroom or at the softball diamond on Friday night. It says “Welcome!” and “What?!?” in equal measure. As CAMACC’s Ops Manager, Jen is busy, busy, busy, managing all administration and warehouse staff, coordinating inventory procurement and distribution across the continent, and more.
Jen has been at CAMACC Systems since the doors opened 15 years ago, holding just about every role, including reception, accounting, and shipping. It’s difficult to pinpoint all that Jen does, because it depends on the day – some days she’s designing complex spread sheets to track a new client’s rollout, or reviewing the financials with the CEO, or training staff on CAMACC’s in-house-built service tracking software. “I basically assist everyone with any of their needs, and I monitor how things are done and look for ways to improve them,” says Jen.
Jen’s early career as an Ammunition Technician in the Army proved helpful, teaching her to learn fast and process many things at the same time. Also, she knows how to blow stuff up. This probably also comes in handy at home, too, where Jen says, “My best accomplishment is my children – teaching them to be good human beings is the challenge of my life.”

National Safety Manager
While Terry is our ‘New Kid on the Block’ he is certainly no stranger to the Security Integration business. With over 25 years of experience in the security field, Terry has proven himself as a true security integration professional.
Terry’s role as Camacc’s ‘Safety-guy’ comes complete with all the trimmings:
Fall Protection, P.O.S.T. (Petroleum Oriented Safety Training -level 1 and level 2), Shell Life –Saving Training Certificate, working at Heights, WHIMIS, Lock out/Tag out, Ladder Safety, First Aid/CPR, Respirator Fit Test, Worker compensation, Fire Extinguishers as well as the safe operation of Scissor lifts, bucket trucks makes him our bona fide Safety guru. His weekly safety meetings to discuss worker concerns, job hazards, equipment deficiencies, near miss reports, and job training are mandatory here at Camacc.
When not scheduling, training or self-improving, Terry is a busy family man. Married for 16 years, with 4 sons and involved with his local Christian church, Terry finds the time to help others. Every February he travels to Ensanada, Mexico with Yugo Missions to built houses for families who are in desperate need of better living conditions. WELCOME TO CAMACC TERRY !

Information Technology Manager
Colin isn’t what you might expect from the lead IT infrastructure guy. Sure, he is responsible for managing CAMACC System’s corporate network – its servers, workstations, routers and telecommunications – as well as administering the SharePoint sites for CAMACC internal staff and external installation and service staff, and the lead analyst for analytics setup and customer training. Sure, he is well trained, with credentials from the University of Victoria’s IT Professional Program, the British Columbia Institute of Technology’s Marketing Management program, and Microsoft’s Certified Systems Engineer designation (MCSE). Sure, he has a lot of experience as a technical trainer and network administrator.
Okay, those are the sorts of things you might expect from an IT Manager with ten years in a world-class technology firm. What you don’t expect is everything else in the Colin package: he is an avid tennis player with a NTRP 4.0 rating, plays left field on the CAMACC softball team, plays the djembe, loves drawing and watercolor painting, and is involved with volunteer community service projects.
The surprising mix of IT with art, sport and community service has everything to do with the kind of surprising solutions that Colin brings to IT, and CAMACC brings to each new customer who needs help.

National Production Manager
Mike just celebrated his seventh year at CAMACC, where he indulges his personal passion for software development and continual learning. “I love to learn about anything,” says Mike. This attitude comes in handy in the technology sector, where he has to stay on top of technological innovation and advances in production methods, ensuring CAMACC’s digital video recorders are always best-in-breed.
Mike’s combination of education and experience align perfectly for the detailed work he does for CAMACC: after studying to be an electronics technician at Mohawk College, he worked as a lead alarm technician, and also in CCTV installation and service. Today Mike’s responsibilities include production standards, hardware specifications, network administration for the Oakville, Ontario office, and developing CAMACC’s purpose-built service tracker software.

Western Sales Manager
“Joe Thomas” is about as western sounding as any name can be, which is perfect our Western Region Sales Manager, but funny because it was given to Joe in the Far East. India, to be exact, where he was born and raised. Joe and his wife eventually moved westwards, where he worked for Xerox in the Middle East, and then again further westwards where they settled in the actual West with their two sons.
After a decade of sales in the security sector, where he worked for InfoSat Communications, Joe joined the sales team at CAMACC Systems in 2010. Regardless of where he lives on the globe, his approach to sales is the same: “Listen, listen, listen to your customers.”
Living in different countries and cultures inspired a wide range of interests in Joe, including game playing, cooking and singing. Whether putting together the evening meal, acting as impromptu DJ at a party, or smashing the ping pong ball down for CAMACC staff championship of the world, Joe’s interests focus on family, another constant wherever he lives on the globe.
